The Webster County Commission recognizes the negative impact that COVID-19 has had on our community, and has opened eligibility for distribution of these funds to: other local governments; non-profits; and private businesses. The current round of funding under the “Webster County CARES Program” provides up to $7,500 in reimbursement for direct expenses related to fighting the spread of COVID-19 (during the period March 1 through August 31, 2020) to eligible organizations of any size. Filed Under: Uncategorized Governor Parson releases “Show-Me Strong Recovery Plan” April 30, 2020 By Stan Whitehurst On Monday, April 27th, Governor Mike Parson issued the “ Show-Me Strong Recovery Plan ” for the strategic ‘re-opening’ of the State from earlier ‘stay at home’ Orders issued to combat the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. Beginning on Monday, May 4th , all businesses, religious and social organizations may – at their discretion – reopen. However, some common sense guidelines must be followed to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 resurgence in the State. Under this flexible set of guidelines, counties and cities are given the option of adopting more stringent Orders. On Thursday, April 30th, Greene County did so – issuing an amendment to their earlier ‘stay at home’ order. As of this writing, it is NOT the intention of Webster County to issue any additional Orders – but to stay with the less restrictive State guidelines. That being said, the Webster County Health Unit has done a great job in developing voluntary guidelines / “best practices” for local businesses and other organizations to refer to when making their decision on when/how to reopen. Those guidelines may be found among the resources below: 2020 04 27 Show Me Strong Recovery – Phase 1 Guidance Response and Recovery Plan . 2020 04 29 ENTERTAINMENT-RECREATION VENUES 2020 04 29 RETAIL AND OTHER BUSINESSES 2020 04 29 RETAIL FOOD STORES-RESTAURANTS- FOOD PICK UP-DELIVERY SERVICES DURING COVID-19 2020 04 29 Webster County Thank you, and stay healthy.
